Favourite Winter Coats 2014!

Hello!

1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8

It's that time of the year again, yay! I absolutely adoreeeeee winter and getting all wrapped up in a gigantic fluffy coat with a hot chocolate. It's the one time of the year you can actually wear something you could easily fall asleep in while you're walking around it's so warm and cosy. Of course, this means I've been eagerly beady-eyeing all the new coats coming out and I'm slowly but surely compiling my wishlist in order to make my coat collection even bigger than it already is.

This year's been the biggest year so far for the cocoon coat on the high street, I think, and especially wooly, fluffy ones at that! This is awesome news because they are the single cosiest coats known to woman! I love these coats for your everyday wear as you can literally sling them on top of any outfit and they look amazing! Fantastic, one in the cart then please!

Autumn is also the best time to own the perfect trench. This one from River Island (#8) I picked out is fantastic as it's not only a lovely twist on the classic piece (with an added neat little belt to nip you in at the waist and accentuate that gorgeous physique of yours) but also has an added fur collar with which you can transition into the colder months too. Bliss!

It's also very important in A/W to consider a coat for eveningwear as the evenings and nights quickly become a lot colder. This is where the stunning longline coat tends to come in. Teamed with a pair of heels, the sharp, clear lines of these beauties lengthens the legs and creates an extremely feminine and elegant silhouette (see the French Connection Imperial coat at #6). They do not stop here though! By adding a large fur collar or throwing a chunky, patterned scarf on over the top, these coats can be worn in the day time and would look lovely with a pair of thigh-high boots (see #4 for the kind of coat I'm on about here)!

What style of coat is your favourite this season?!
